INTRODUCTION

I have been meditating upon the massive 7.0 magnitude earthquake which hit the sister nation of Haiti last January. It is happening exactly what Jesus said 2000 years ago, a journalist from the BBC said: “It is impossible to describe the scenery in the capital, a lot of bodies on the streets, people wailing and weeping and there is no coordinated relief aid”. Haiti’s airport is small, lot of people trying to leave the country and sadly international supplies are still waiting at the airport. As a result, the country is in chaos and citizens fight to get just something to eat; a headline said that those who are alive are sleeping between the deaths. The situation is getting worse and hospitals are unable to receive more patients.

The Word of God says: “31"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.  34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.” (Matthew 25:31-34 – New International Version - NIV -)

GOD’S SONS INHERITANCE

Quite a particular inheritance! An inheritance prepared by God beforehand the foundation of the world. At the Bible, it is known as the Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus came to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom and he taught how to pray: “your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” The Bible commands us to inherit that Kingdom; It is a big inheritance, a great gif and an amazing experience!

What does define me as a member of the Kingdom of Heaven? I will not inherit the Kingdom because I am a member of “Life Mission Ministry” or because God gave me the favour of buying a house; No way! I will inherit the Kingdom of heaven after accomplished Jesus’s commandments: “35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me”(Matthew 25:35-36 – NIV)

Let me tell you something: I do know that God will bless USA because it is the country which is sending to Haiti more funds, more soldiers and more supplies than any other country. Our hearts must be as same as God’s one; because of the quake I have seen how God’s is: The Almighty is not glad when you purchase a house, but rather at the moment you feed the hungry, when you visit the sick and those who are in prison. According to the Bible, those people will enter The Kingdom of Heaven. What a caring heart has God!

Many people have known God in a time of crisis; surely it was in a time of great danger when you realized that Jesus was close to you and that crisis was the perfect opportunity from God to you. He is close to sad people, the hungry, the poor, the sick and those who are in prison; those rejected people will inherit The Kingdom of Heaven. The social work is the essence of Gospel! If your heart is like Jesus’s heart, you will enter The Kingdom; it does not matter your Ministry. Although Jesus was attending a wedding, his heart was with the sick, the demon-possessed man, the poor, the widow who was mourning the death of his son. Jesus’s heart was there!

I have seen on the news a woman, just rescued from piles of rubbles, who said continually: “Thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus!” This woman was a sister in Christ! I have also seen on the news a man who worked alone trying to rescue from the rubbles his wife but after doing this, his wife passed away in his arms; then, he continued working alone for three days trying to rescue his wife’s parents because nobody could not help him! I do know that God’s heart was there although he was who sent trial.

Because of evil beliefs, witchcraft and the practise of the voodoo, a Pastor from USA said that God sent the quake; I do know that God punishes but he do it with compassion and love. Do not be happy when your neighbour is punished for his evil work, otherwise, you will be also punished! Feel so sorry for you brother! I pray to God and affirm he will bless the Republic of Haiti!

Acts 17:26 says: “26From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.” (NIV) I have seen on the TV a scientific research on the origin of the races and the conclusion was that all races have part of the same DNA. We are all brothers! God commands you: “ ………'Love your neighbour as yourself” (Matthew 22:39 – NIV) He does not says “Love your wife as yourself, love your children as yourself”, but rather: “Love your neighbour as yourself”. Today I express my love for the brothers of Haiti.

May God bless the country of Haiti, may God send his grace and teaches us to have a heart like him. The Almighty has established the following commandment: “Love your neighbour as yourself”. Therefore, you are a quite important person and he commands everybody to love you, on the other hands, you must love everybody. It means the sorrows of your brother must be your sorrows, his sadness must be your sadness and his joy must be your joy.

Matthew 25:37-40 says: “37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' 40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' (NIV) Jesus is the firstborn son of God so when The Church was born, Jesus became into the firstborn of the brothers. Jesus said he was the son of man, he had human DNA; he is God dying for the man. “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me”

Isaiah 53:3-6 says: “3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,   and by his wounds we are healed.6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (NIV) He commands you to express a great sorrow for those who are suffering but do not forget that he suffered before you and I thank him because he went to Hell instead of me; he was both crushed and punished for my iniquities and I do know when I close my eyes here, I will open them at The Kingdom of Heaven. Thank Jesus because you took my sorrow, sins and anguish. Let me be frank about this, only those people who are like Jesus will enter The Kingdom; it will not enter those who say that will talk to Jesus to let them pass. No! You must do it here! Leave away you heart and allow Christ enter you heart, otherwise, you will not succeed The Kingdom of Heaven, without doubt.

We are living a special time because God is seeking for compassion and mercy. Sometimes he must do something with us so then we open our eyes. I have experienced this, God had to send me to a hospital to think about the sick! At the hospital, mi wife was with me and received a lot of messages from people telling me they were preaching for me. Moreover, a patient came and told me that people form other Church were also preaching for me so I said to God: “Thank you Lord, I am covered, quite a few people are preaching for me!” However, The Lord called my attention and told me: “Have you seen those patients that nobody is preaching for them? Have you seen those patients that nobody visit them? Consequently, from now on, the church will visit the sick because our heart is with those who are suffering, have no food and living in anguish.  God is closed to the broken-hearted people! I pray to God asking him to touch the hearth of the church letting us to take peace for everyone.

CONCLUSION

Do you have a heart like God’s hearth? Do you need a new one? Have you already have it or Christ must enter to be the Lord? Give up right now! You must realize that your actual heart it does not work and allow Christ give you a new one, ask him: “Please give a new hearth!” I ask for a sensitive and caring hearth, a hearth like you my God, a hearth like a radar seeking for people needing your love and mercy.

I have met a man who had no peace because he had committed a sin and could not forgive himself. Then, I introduced him the one who forgives everybody: Jesus. That man was too desperate and wanted to commit suicide because he had lost his family due to the sin! I assured him of Jesus’s power to give peace and joy and remove all anguish. We prayed to God and then he gave his hearth to Christ and starting crying and hugged myself. I knew he was my brother because God from one man he made every nation of men; from one blood he created me and all the Africans and Haitians and also that sinner who had come looking for me.
